Die sozio-technischen Verhältnisse der digitalen Transformation fordern Vorstellungen des »souveränen Staates« und des »souveränen Subjekts« heraus. In den Debatten um die »digitale Souveränität« werden diese Herausforderungen problematisiert. »Souveränität« ist allerdings ein komplexes Konzept.
Die digitale Transformation verändert unsere Welt, disruptiv, umfassend und unumkehrbar: Sie ändert die strukturellen Voraussetzungen für Wirtschaft, sozio-politische Strukturen und Prozesse sowie nicht zuletzt unser Selbstverständnis als Menschen. Die Debatte um Digitale Souveränität adressiert die Frage, wie dieser Umbruch gestaltet werden kann und soll.
As a first result of the cooperation between the FAU EFI initiative on "Digital Sovereignty" and the French research group "Geopolitics of the Datasphere", a forum article has been published in the international journal "Geopolitics".
After two digital workshops, the researchers of the FAU project "Discourses and Practices of Digital Sovereignty" and their French colleagues in the network "Geopolitics of the Datasphere" were finally able to meet for a "real workshop" in Paris.
